SEVENTH
INTERNATIONAL PRECISION FLYING AND NAVIGATION EXERCISE OF LACHUTE

We lucked out with the weather this year, and had a successsful
day for the 7th "Lachute International Air Rally" organized
by EAA Chapter 266 and COPA Flight 118 on Saturday, October 17,
2009.
Participants left Lachute with true headings to follow the 100
mile course and pictures of landmarks to identify from the air.
As it turns out, the course was one we flew several years ago, but
flown in the reverse direction.
Seven teams entered the event with the results listed below. The
winners were Gilles Lapierre and Simon Cousineau in a Cessna-172
- CGETQ.

La météo était favorable, bien que plutôt
fraiche... 7 équipes ont participé au (probablement)
dernier évènement de la saison, et 6 se sont placées.
Le défi était réel, et l'équipe gilles
Lapierre/Simon Cousineau l'ont bien relevé (1ère place).
Mais avant tout, tous les participants en ont bien joui, et l'occasion
fut aussi sociale que compétitive.
