EAA Calendar of Events

Michel Moreau flies a Q2 that has been evolving over the years. It is currently undergoing major surgery with the replacement of the 65 HP Revmaster engine (a Volkswagen conversion) with a Jabiru 2200 that delivers 80 HP. He expects an improvement in reliability, a 60 pound weight loss and increased performance.

Michel has flown his Q2 all the way to Abbotsford, BC and has been to Oshkosh several times.

This it what Michel's Q2 looked like when it left the "factory"

Installation of the new Jabiru 2200 with a custom-made engine mount

The new cowling is significantly different from the original, since Michel had to move the much lighter Jabiru engine forward to maintain balance. It should also reduce cooling drag and improve cruise speed. An update appeared in our October 2004 newsletter.
