Jack Geall has been building a Zenair CH 200, but life has taken a turn away from his project and general aviation. He has now put his project up for sale. Below are some pictures showing the current state of his project and as well as some detail of the work done and what remains to be completed... COMPLETED ITEMS

Fuselage,
2 wing panels,
Stabilator,
Fin and rudder were acid etched, epoxy primed and spray painted with International urethane white paint,
Aluminium fuel tank was fabricated per the plans, epoxy primed and installed per plans with the exception of the fuel filler which was installed with a fuel filler door,
Fuel and drain system are completely installed to the firewall gascolator but this system would have to be modified for the high pressure fuel system necessary for the Subaru h.p. injection system if you went that route,
Battery box is made and installed as per the plans and wired to firewall,
Instrument panel is finished and installed but again would need some changes for the Subaru installation
New airspeed, altimeter, compass, turn & bank, artificial horizon directional gyro installed with associated plumbing,
Some engine gauges installed along with throttle mixture & carb heat controls + some electrical switches,
Center control stick and cable systems are completely installed and rigged as are the rudder pedals and cable systems,
Cockpit interior is insulated & finished mahogany paneling installed along with carpeting,
NACA fresh air vents,
Seats and seat belts,
Windshield is all fitted except for a few finishing touches,
Gull-wing cockpit hatches and windows are partially finished,
Maule tail wheel is completely installed and connected.

ITEMS TO COMPLETE

Engine installation to complete depending on type of engine , 85 to 150 H.P.
Engine mount to be fabricated, as per engine type
Engine cowlings to be fabricated fibreglass or metal
Electrical wiring to be completed per type of engine
Spring steel landing gear to be purchased or fabricated per plans or float attach struts fabricated
Wheels & brake system to be purchased & installed
Finish fabrication of canopy hatch and windshield
Finish flap motor installation
Install wings & finish rigging of aileron cables + wingtip strobes
Finish paint trim of the aircraft
Weight & balance and electrical load analysis
Note: Estimated time to complete depends on many variables such as engine installation, floats or wheels.
